"Wait come back here!" The young girl said running down the halls, giving chase to another young girl that felt like playing tag. But she had been playing tag for a long time, nearly seventy years and Annabel knew it was time for her to stop. To most normal people the young blonde wasn't running behind anything, she was just chasing air. But Annabel knew that this girl she was running after needed to stop playing her game and realize what happen to her. That it didn't matter where she ran to the smell of death and blood followed the poor little thing.
The spirit turn and corner and disspeared as Annabel stopped and looked around. Now where did that silly little thing go? She could just disappear to stop herself from being caught and admitting the truth. She was dead, she needed to stop... But no she was gone and Annabel sighed some ready to head back to her common room when another girl walked pass her and... and that was odd.
She turned to look back at the girl and recognized her as Serafina, the head girl. Annabel titled her head and followed her for a second, what a odd energy living inside her stomach. She hasn't felt anything like this since her mother was... oh! "Serafina!" Annabel called out and caught up to the girl as she studied her a little more. She didn't want to be wrong because what she was about to tell the girl would change her life. "I... I have something rather important to tell you."

Things were still chaotic; that much would never changed, Serafina realized. She couldn't help but to still feel uncomfortable about Pietro's family's "business," but that uncomfortable feeling couldn't overpower the feelings she had for the man himself. Whether this was an intelligent decision or a downright horrible one, she supposed that she would find out in time. For now, though, she wouldn't be content unless her Potions professor was in her life.
So, now that she had her free periods as a teaching assistant switched back to working underneath Pietro as opposed to Professor Auttenberg, she was on her way to her dorm to collect some papers that she had graded for him the night before. There was some sort of crazy glow about her over the last couple of weeks that was seeming to just grow and grow with each passing day, and while she didn't understand it, she had received more compliments from her fellow students on it. This brought a smile to her face - one she was still wearing when she heard her name shouted after passing a small blonde girl.
Her name was Annabel-Lee, and she was a sixth year Aqua with the medium ability. Serafina knew of the girl - it was her job as head girl - but didn't know her personally, so to hear her shout out her name suddenly and to tell her she had something important to tell her was a bit unexpected. "Something important?" Serafina repeated, pausing to look back at the other girl with a curiously arched eyebrow. "And what might that be, Miss Annabel?"

She has to make sure that she was feeling this. Pregnancy is not the sort of thing you are only half sure of, so Annabel took a step closer to her and bite on her lip. "I'm sorry I just have to make sure." She said pressing her hand gently against the girl's stomach and sure enough, there was an energy there that did not belong to Serafina, a life all it's own... wait what... what was this? Annabel made a face, confusion written all over it as she moved her hand gently to the side. Why was there two little balls of pure energy there? Both so raw and new and growing. The young girl jumped back some with her hand over her mouth and looked up at the girl. "I... I don't understand..."
How could there be two? Her mother just had the one and Annabel loved being able to watch it grow and form into a little life. But Serafina had two which could mean... oh god it could only mean one thing! Her eyes went wide as she shook her head and said. "You're pregnant... And I think there are two babies."
Oh dear that was blunt. But what else was she to say? She didn't think she could say it any other way then the way she did and she rubbed her hands together before asking. "You... you didn't know did you? Because if you don't want me to tell anyone I won't I promise. But you should go to the nurse."

The girl began to step closer to Serafina, which was a little unexpected, but she wasn't going to smack the girl for invading her personal space. She looked so very confused and suddenly reached out to press a hand to Serafina's stomach, causing her eyes to spark with bewilderment. What in the world was she doing? Was this Annabel's way of telling her that she was beginning to get fat? That couldn't be, right? Was she drinking too much and starting to put on pounds? This girl was just so very... Strange.
But then, Serafina's jaw dropped open and all color washed out of her naturally olive complexion, leaving behind skin paler than an Irishman. She was... She was what?! "No..." She shook her head in disbelief. "That can't be right.. I... Protection was used, and there's no way that.."
"And I think there are two babies."
Serafina felt as if she could faint right then and there, and her expression turned suddenly stern as she looked at the small girl. "Annabel, do not toy with me right now," she said with a serious expression. "How do you even know this? There's no way you could know that when I don't even know!"

Annabel swallowed as she closed her eyes to block out all the other feelings around her and just focus on Serafina. Annabel closed her eyes and then open them, the blue colour of them changing to a stunning gold and she saw the girls magical aura, a rich beautiful blue colour with hints of purple. But right in the middle of her stomach two little yellow lights. Annabel shook her head and stepped back, her eyes going back to blue as she nodded. "I..." Oh dear now she had to explain herself. And by Wizarding standards what she did was crazy and most people didn't believe her.
"I'm an empath, I can sense emotions and energy and the magical aura in other people." She said rubbing her hands together and looking down. "I can see energy on a different plain than normal wizards and right now, there are three different energies in you right now." Annabel looked down before looking back up at the girl and swallowing some. "I'm sorry if I broke the news to you it's just you reminded me of my mother when she was pregnant."
Oh dear the poor thing looked so scared and upset and Annabel felt bad. She probably didn't want anyone to know, judging by her energy shift into panic. figuring out what lies she could tell to herself to make it so it wasn't true. Which meant Annabel probably couldn't convince her to go to the nurse. "If you don't want to see the nurse I can help you. I helped my mother when she was pregnant and I want to be a midwife."

The way the girl's eyes shifted colors took her by surprise, and she nearly took a step back before realizing how incredibly rude that would have been. Was she a metamorphmagus, perhaps? No, definitely not that, and before she could ponder it any further, Annabel informed her of just what she was capable of doing. And empath? They were nearly unheard of, but Serafina had read a couple of books on them in the library a couple years back. Little information was known about them, so she didn't learn much from the text. "You're an empath?" She questioned with minor disbelief. But what reason would the girl have to lie to her? She was a tender-hearted, little Aqua student - hardly any of them had ill intent. "I had no idea," she said with a shake of her head.
But two energies inside her in addition to her own? God help her, she was in such a bad situation. How could she explain this to Pietro? Surely she would be mad to! No, she was going to have to deal with this on her own. He would make an outstanding father - she was sure of that much - but she couldn't ruin his or his family's name. No, it had to remain secret.
"It is news to me," she told the girl as her heart sank in her chest, eyes beginning to well up with panicked tears. This was... What had she done? Why had she sinned and taken part in sex before she was wed? Pietro was her everything, but there was a reason sex out of wedlock was frowned upon so greatly! "I can't see a nurse.. No one - no one - can know about this, Annabel," she said with a pleading look in her eyes. "Oh God... I don't... What do I do?" She finally asked the girl, blurting out whatever was on her mind as it began to whirl about in a frenzy. "I'm not ready to be a mother, and I... I have committed one of the worst sins," she sobbed out, tears beginning to flow heavily from her sockets.

The panic in the girl made Annabel's heart race and she swallowed and looked down for a second. She was right, sex before you were married is a sin. Having a baby out of wedlock could get you shun from your family, your whole life ruined because you gave into the desires of your body rather than listening to the lies that have been pumped into your head from years of attending church. Annabel personally had a love hard relationship with sin verse human nature and the whole thing could be very confusing.
She took the girls hands as she started to cry, Annabel's own heart seizing up in pain as she bite her lip and exhaled. She had to be the one to stay calm just like she did with her mother. "Come with me." The girl said with a smile leading her out of the castle and down toward the lake where her head could be a little more clear so she can focus just on helping Serafina. "We can come up with a plan okay? Do you know who the father is?" She asked with a title of her head. Annabel of course had some ideas, but she didn't want to say anything. There was just two different boys she spent alot of time with so...
"We don't have to tell anyone until you start to show okay? If the babies are big enough for me to feel they are probably somewhere between two and three weeks, that's when I felt my baby brother for my mother." She said with a soft smile as she kept hold of the girl hand. "Don't worry I am going to help you as much as I can."

What in the world was she going to do? Pietro would freak out, she was sure. This would ruin their relationship - the one thing she cherished above any and everything else - and completely destroy her. And if she returned home to her family to try and mend her broken heart over the loss of her love? Surely her parents would disown her for bringing shame to their family and likely kick her out for being a disgrace. Because while they were loving people, they weren't the type to put up with a sin so very large and powerful. But then... Then what would she do?
Annabel took her hand and began to lead her outside - tears still streaming violently down Serafina's face - so that they could better talk about the issue at hand. The younger girl seemed so hopeful that everything would be okay, and while Serafina wished she could feel the same way, all she could see this as was a problem that would destroy her entire life from the inside out - literally. But when she asked who the children's father was, she nearly threw up. Could she... Could she trust this girl? She supposed she kind of had to given the unforeseen circumstances..
"You cannot speak a single word to a single soul.. Please," she asked of the girl, sighing heavily. Once she was sure they were completely out of earshot of anyone, she let out a slow, shaky breath as she prepared herself to reveal her lover's name. "It's... Professor Holland. Pietro is my lover," she informed the woman nervously. "Please don't say anything. I've been in love with him since my fourth year, and it... It just happened."
So, the buns in her oven were already a few weeks along, which matched up perfectly with the timeframe in which she lost her virginity to the man she loved. It made complete sense, and the more sense it made, the weaker Serafina felt. "I... I need to sit," she said to the girl as she found a softer spot in the grass and perched herself down on it. "How... I can't tell him. If I do, it will ruin his career. He'll hate me.. But if I lie to him... God, what have I gotten myself into?" She was mostly rambling to herself as she cried, and she curled up to bring her knees to her chest.

"You cannot speak a single word to a single soul.. Please."
Annabel nodded when the girl asked her to keep it a secret. "I swear on the soul of my mother, I will not tell your secret." Though that could be a very dangerous promise for Annabel to make. There was only so much she could do to help the girl and while she has helped bring babies into this life before she has also watched them die. But the girl was in such a panic Annabel simply say she would in the hopes that it would calm the poor thing down somewhat.
Then she told her who the father was and she sort of guessed it. She had seen the two steal looks from each others during dinner and other school events, felt the way the girls heart raced every time she looked at him and how his would do the same. She nodded some and sat down next to the girl, pulling out a handkerchief and handing it to her. "There shush don't cry, this isn't worth your tears." Very few things in this world are as she had come to learn over the years. Even the dead aren't worth tears most of the time. "No I promise I will not say a word to him or to anyone unless you want me too."
A very sticky situation, she can't tell anyone but she had to tell someone. "Well I mean if you are able to get him to marry you before the baby is born would that keep your family happy and his?" Because it's not like the age difference between them was odd thing. Many men took a much younger woman to be their bride. Was it that she was his student? Because that would be odd then but... "And until you are ready to tell him I can help you every step of the way. And what about Theo? I'm sure he would be more than willing to help." The girl said with a smile knowing that Searfina and Theo had been the best of friends, the head boy and head girl rarely seen apart.

To hear Annabel make such a sound and serious promise to her showed Serafina that she could be trusted. She didn't doubt the blonde's character for any reason anyway, but that sealed the deal for her. "Thank you," she said with a grateful nod. "I really can't have this begin to get out - not about the relationship or the pregnancy. They would both be frowned upon," she sobbed, shaking softly as she wiped at her tears.
She was trying to hush Serafina's cries as they fell heavily down her face and began to pool on her blouse. So much pain and panic and worry settled into her stomach that she felt sick. How was she to remedy this? If she wasn't going to Hell already for the sins she had committed, she certainly would be if she went and saw one of those doctors in a back alley. That just wasn't an option. So, if she were disowned by her parents for bearing children outside of marriage, what would she do then? Become some sort of prostitute in order to make ends meet for her children while contracting who knows how many diseases. Such a dangerous business, but she supposed she would have to do whatever she must - as much as that made her heart break.
Marrying Pietro was something she wanted more than anything else in the entire world, but that idea seemed so very far fetched at this point. "If I were married to him, then yes, my parents would still keep me in their graces but.." She paused, thinking everything over. How could Pieto marry someone who would end up ruining his career? Because, while it was common for men to marry younger women, he would almost definitely lose his job for having an affair with a student - no matter how consensual. "But I will ruin his career - ruin his life - with this news. He... He won't love me after that. How could he?" Then Annabel brought up Theo, and Serafina's heart sank just a little bit farther. Would he be disappointed in her? Of course he would always still love her - they were best friends - but would she then destroy his reputation as well? After all, "guilty by association" is what they always called it. "Theo... Yes, I'm going to have to tell him."

Annabel nodded and smiled softly. "Don't worry, it will be okay." Because really if they got married this would a non issue. Though she supposed the girls parents wouldn't be okay with her marrying a man that killed someone in front of the whole school. Not to mention taking her virginity without the intent to marry her first was just so sinful. Though again it was one of those silly sins she's believe man created in order to try and convince themselves to be loyal. She didn't believe that god would waste the time with their silly human dibble over marriage.
She was all in a panic again which made Annable take a deep breath and say. "Breath it's okay. Your babies right now seem very happy and healthy, growing as they should. And you know..." How did she put this without upsetting the girl further..."Pietro killed another professor in front of everyone and he didn't lose his job. I doubt loving you is going to cost him much of anything. But again I will not breath a word to anyone until you are ready to tell people."
She stood up and took the girls hands with a soft smile. "Go find Theo, he will bring you more comfort than I can in this moment. Though when you start to have morning sickness sometime next week you should come back to see me and I can get you somethings to help with the nausea okay?"
